CARL DOUGLAS – Kung Fu Fighting OFFICIAL SONG

This is one of the songs sung by Carl Douglas called Kung Fu Fighting. Thanks for watching. PLEASE COMMENT.

Kung Fu Fighting Lyrics? This is really weird, when I look on google for the lyrics, each site says something different for the 2nd line “Those kicks were fast as lightning” & one says “Those cats were fast as lightning” and another says “Your mind becomes fast as lightning” SO WHICH IS it? What is the actual line? Thanks

The answer is: All of them. There are different versions which have been re-written to better suit whatever movie or series or album it was used in.For instance wikipedia mentions that “It also has been used in trailers for the films Kung Fu Panda, Disney’s Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior, & Kung Fu Hustle, and a cover by Cee-Lo Green and Jack Black is used over the end credits of Kung Fu Panda. This version has partially rewritten lyrics more in keeping with the film’s themes.” but the original “is a disco song written and performed by Carl Douglas and Vivian Hawke, and produced by Biddu.”Hope that cleared things up a bit for you!

who sang that kung fu fighting song?
its a 1974 single by carl douglas “everybody loves kung fu fighting” Didnt it come out in Rush Hour 2 or 3 idk.Love that song.

the “everybody was kung fu fightinggg” ??lol Carl Douglas.although there have been covers done; I think one by the Foo Fighters

Why was everyone kung fu fighting? and who sang that song?
I don’t know why they were fighting, but boy they were fast as lightning, it was a little bit frightening!Carl Douglas sang it. Was released in 1974.

it seemed like a good idea at the time, and it gave us an excuse to go “Hoo” and “Haw” real loud.Carl Douglas made us do it.

It had to do with the kung fu fad of the early 1970s. Bruce Lee’s movies had become very popular and then there was a TV series called “Kung Fu” starring David Carradine. Carl Douglas’ song was an attempt to cash in. He tried to follow that song up with the similar “Dance The Kung Fu” but it didn’t do as well.

how did the kung fu fighting song get famous? I know it’s by Carl Douglas but was it in a movie or popular show or something?
There was a show called ‘Kung Fu’ at the time this song was released and it was released as a single in 1974, at the cusp of a martial arts film craze.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kung_fu_fighting — rather interesting history.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kung_fu_tvsongfacts.com/detail.php?id=4572superseventies.com/sw_kungfufighting.html
