Peter Pan – Here I Am

After doing The Little Mermaid video, it occurred to me that Natalie Gauci’s Winner’s Journey CD had a number of tracks that would work really well with vari…

Peter Stuart, Here I Am Here

I put these images together and posted it here for a friend who said this song reminds her of me.

Should a twelve year old be allowed to a Russell Peters show? My son enjoys watching Russell Peters with his grandpa. He is coming to perform in my city, and he really wants to go with his grandpa.Children are allowed to the show, but it is advised that there is mature themes. My son is very mature for his age.

Yes, most 12 year old kids already know most of the words he says, and even make racist jokes like Russell Peters. Now, if you are afraid of him listening to racist jokes, then he should not go. Since your son is mature, I think you should let him go to the show.

What do you think about Bernadette Peters and Connie Frances? I have been told I look like a young Connie Frances and Bernadette Peters. What do you think about their looks. I don’t think either one looks like the other.
Bernadette Peters is a stunning woman- beautiful skin, beautiful eyes and a great figure. She is not ‘dippy’ as another poster said- she is a very intelligent, funny woman who has a knack for portraying ditzy characters. I’ve always been told, though, that it takes a very intelligent person to play ditzy well, and she certainly is not ‘dippy’ in real life.

Why is I Corinthians important to understanding how Peter was thinking as he wrote his other works? I know that Romans is recognized as Peters more important work, but how does first Corinthians help us understand Pauls way of thinking?Whoops, substitute Paul for Peter.
The writer of 1 & 2 Corinthians was the apostle Paul, and he also wrote the letter to the Roman Christians.Peter wrote 2 letters, bearing his name. In the letter to the Philippian Christians, it begins, “Paul and Timotny.” Would you like to re-phrase your question so that we can understand what you are really asking? Thanks!Okay! God’s Canvass has given a good answer. I’d just like to add that it’s obviously important to understand the first letter to the Corinthians in order to grasp why he said what he did in the second one! With the Corinthians he was deeply concerned to rectify unChristian behaviour in the new church, so it was a very practical letter. But he gives profound teaching on the doctrine of the resurrection in it also. He has a strong emphasis on how the Holy Spirit brings about conversions and in gifting the church. Having dealt with those issues, Paul might have felt it was good to then launch into doctrinal matters at much greater length, as shown in the letters to the Romans.

Peter? The Roman and Corinthians Letters were written by Paul, not Peter. Each of Paul’s letters counsels those to whom they are addressed for specific problems within their churches. The Corinthians letters are as much admonishment as they are encouragement.

I Corinthians {1:1} Paul, called [to be] an apostle of Jesus Christthrough the will of God, and Sosthenes [our] brother, {1:2}Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that aresanctified in Christ Jesus, called [to be] saints, with all thatin every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

Wowsers! It just so happens that I was studying 1st Corinthians this morning during devotional time. This is important:Christ Crucified Is God’s Power and Wisdom 18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”[c] 20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. The transition from post-modernism to the age of enlightenment, really just meant that 1st Corinthians was futher cemented as ever-constant, never changing truth. The gospel cannot be grasped through human merit. Though the implication is understood, no amount of signs and wonders would be sufficient to reach one who is spiritually and morally depraved. They are impotent to change. Though they hear what it says, they cannot grasp the magnificence of it all. Only by God’s grace.

Paul was stuck in a cultural dilemma. There was a lot of curruption in the town of corinthians and Paul was trying to figure things out. We have to recognize that 1 and 2 corinthians is nothing more than a letter of advice that addresses their problems. We need to understand that some of these passages don’t apply to us because Paul was addressing SPECIFIC problems such as chaos in the church, prostitutes, physical fights during service, scandelous women.etc. This is why many passages seem extreme (such as telling women to be quiet. we just need to remember that we are not in the same state as Corinthians was.

You don’t seem to know your claimed bible authors very well. ‘Peter’ didn’t write any of those. And ‘Romans’ is one of the books traditionally attributed to ‘Paul’ that most scholars suspect *wasn’t* written by ‘Paul’ at all.Peace.
